At Bangalore, Rahul Gandhi fails to impress

March 29, 2008
Rahul Gandhi may have made his mark in parts of rural Karnataka during his five-day tour, but he put up a disappointing show in capital Bangalore. The final leg of Rahul Gandhi's tour ended at Bangalore, where he addressed the public at the APMC grounds, in a programme organised by the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress.

Earlier, the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family failed to make any impact at an interaction with young IT professionals and students of the Indian Institute of Science.

Several IT professionals even walked out of the session after Rahul allegedly urged them to join the party, instead of sharing his ideas regarding the future of India's youth brigade. The professionals also said that Rahul had no answers to many of the questions asked by the young audience, including a salvo on why the Congress believed in high command politics.
