7. Mallika Sherawat

December 18, 2007

Sex, meet Toast. And, well, Microwave.

Bollywood's hottest woman, Mallika continues to raise eyebrows and heartbeats across India -- despite not having a single release this year. After 2006's fresh Pyaar Ke Side Effects, where she suddenly proved herself deceptively quick at comedy, she's been on a signing spree, launching her own production company and taking on offbeat projects.

Plus her songs.

Mani Ratnam's Guru almost opens with Mallika doing an unforgettable Shakira routine, after which leading lady Aishwarya Rai's rain dance seems, well, a washout. Then, in Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Ka Suroor The Moviee: The Real Luv Story, Mallika managed to hot up even a classic like Mehbooba O Mehbooba.

Discounting the guest appearance in Welcome, Mallika returns as the leading lady with an interesting mix of projects next year. The siren is all poised to have the last laugh -- and to make it last.
