10. Lara Dutta
December 18, 2007
Winner of the Miss Universe title in 2000, there was no denying Ms Dutta's attractiveness, but her work on the silver screen left much to be desired. Upto 2005, her finest moment was the Aisa Jadoo item number in Khakee. Things took an upswing in 2005, with No Entry, the biggest hit of the year.
2007 was a mixed bag for Lara, with Jhoom Barabar Jhoom proving one of the year's most dismal duds, and Partner raking it in. Yet the industry sat up and took notice as Lara, in a film crowded by other actors, proved her mettle. Coming up for her is Raj Kumar Santoshi's upcoming London Dreams, with Salman Khan.
She's far more natural and poised in front of the camera now, and those legs -- showcased appropriately in short shorts -- are super enough for her to go far.
