The Ambanis
It began last year, with a front-page report in a national daily. The report took no names, but pointed out how one industrialist brother had refused meals with the other. It almost appealed to the scions -- of a 'certain business empire' -- to kiss and make up.
This year, the Anil and Mukesh Ambani feud came out into the open. And how!
Every time a letter, or an e-mail, or a supposedly private missive was exchanged, it was leaked to the media. Every time the loyalist of one camp opened his mouth, microphones made a beeline for the orifice.
The Sensex took beatings, and more beatings. It perked up every time there was news of a truce, withered with every fresh salvo.
Till the Reliance de-merger.
