Billy Stelling grabbed three wickets as the Netherlands skittled out fellow associate nation Scotland for 136 runs in their Group A match on Thursday.
Medium pacer Stelling took career best figures of three for 12 from eight overs to send the Scots, who were put in to bat, tumbling out in 34.1 overs.
The Netherlands won by eight wickets, their first victory over Scotland in the three one-day internationals the countries have contested and only their second win in 14 World Cup matches.
