Haq was caught behind by wicketkeeper Mark Boucher for 13 in the 12th over. His opening partner Duncan Watts also followed soon after scoring 24.
Scotland managed to score just 186 for in their 50 overs and in reply South Africa stormed to victory for the loss of just three wickets and in 23.2 overs.
