Gloom hung over the Pakistan team's hotel -- 'The Pegasus' -- in Jamaica, as news of coach Bob Woolmer's death trickled in.
Woolmer died aged 58 after being found unconscious in his hotel room the morning after Pakistan's shock exit from the World Cup after losing to Ireland.
Pakistan team assistant manager Asad Mustafa said a medical panel would announce the cause of Woolmer's death later on Sunday.
"We have lost a family member and his death is a great loss to Pakistan cricket," PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf said.
The former Test batsman was one of the most respected figures in the cricket world and many felt he would take over as England coach once his contract with Pakistan expired in June.
