King Anand arrives to tumultuous welcome

Hordes of enthusiastic fans and a quote-hungry media jostling for bytes greeted World champion Viswanathan Anand on his return to Chennai in the wee hours of Friday.

Anand was crowned champion after a 24-move draw in the 11th and penultimate game of the 12-game World Chess Championship final in Bonn, on October 29.
