Hockey enthusiasts in Sansarpur village of Punjab are hopeful of a bright future with the suspension of the Indian Hockey Federation and appointment of an ad-hoc committee.

The players are now hopeful of representing India as they feel that they were earlier discriminated against, during the Under-15 trials.

India's failure to qualify for the 2008 Olympics had saddened the players but now the hockey grounds are again buzzing with young players.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) suspended the Indian Hockey Federation on April 28 and replaced it with an ad hoc committee, headed by IOA chief Kalmadi.
