Chinese climbers carried the Olympic flame to the summit of Mount Everest on Thursday morning, marking the high point of the torch relay.
The 12-member team, chosen from a pool of 31 climbers, was led by Tibetan Nima Ciren and backed up by a team of seven further mountaineers.
