The 23-year-old Briton, who is leading the drivers' championship in the F1 race, made a special appearance in Mumbai and did seven quick laps of the Hakone Go Karting circuit, which was reduced to one-third because of heavy rain.
The ace driver, who scored a magnificent victory at Hockenheim in the German Grand Prix last Sunday, was in the city on a promotional tour for Vodafone. Sunday's win was Hamilton's fourth of the season and took him to the top of the drivers' standings, with 58 points.
