Rustom should consider himself lucky to take second place. Shamim's error in judgment proved costly for him as he checked in at a control a few second late and was penalized .11 seconds in penalty points. In the final tally, while Bassan was clearly home with 0: 39.41 seconds in penalty points, Rustom had 0:33.30 seconds to Shamim's 0:33.41 seconds.
