Russian sweep in women's singles

Elena Dementieva won the gold medal in women's tennis singles Sunday at the Olympics by beating fellow Russian Dinara Safina 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

When the fifth seeded Dementieva closed out the victory with a forehand winner, she collapsed to her knees, then walked to net and received a congratulatory hug from Safina.
