Catholics all over China held mass prayer for a smooth and successful Olympics, marking the 100-day countdown to the games in August.

Hundreds of people gathered in Beijing's South Cathedral, an Italian church and sang hymns, including Chinese interpretations of western songs, as the bishop, priests and nuns entered the church.
