The Olympic torch cruised smoothly under heavy guard through Buenos Aires on Friday.

The uninterrupted torch relay along the streets and docks of Buenos Aires contrasted with the chaos over the last week in San Francisco, London and Paris where protesters tried to snuff out the flame and organisers had to extinguish or hide the torch to keep it safe.
