India's Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi scored hard-fought wins in their respective doubles matches on Monday to set up a quarter-final clash at the Miami Masters.

Paes and Australian partner Paul Hanley, seeded eighth, defeated Christopher Kas and Rogier Wassen 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
Fourth seeds Bhupathi and Mark Knowles defeated Russian-Belgian duo of Igor Andreev and Xavier Malisse 2-6, 6-2, 10-5.
