Works on the Pit Building for the Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore started off on Monday, September 3.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what's on the cards. A brilliantly lit night race right through the city.

While drivers like Fernando Alonso have expressed concern at the safety issues that night racing could potentially bring about, FIA supremo Bernie Ecclestone has pooh-poohed the concerns, saying that a properly lit F1 track will provide more consistent lighting through a race than most overcast days.
