Leaders Arsenal were expected to demolish a Wigan side on a seven-match losing streak in the league but things did not go to
plan as they endured a frustrating afternoon.
William Gallas (in the picture) eventually broke the deadlock after 83 minutes with a header from a Bakary Sagna cross and
Tomas Rosicky struck a second two minutes later after good work from substitute Nicklas Bendtner.
Theo Walcott was taken off on a stretcher after a tackle by Emile Heskey late on.
