Arsenal survived a scare from north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who missed a penalty at 1-1, before emerging 2-1 winners in a London derby on Saturday to extend their Premier League lead to four points.

Arsenal took the lead three minutes after the restart when Fabregas broke from halfway, combined with Tomas Rosicky then backheeled to Adebayor to score his fifth goal in five league games against Spurs and his 10th in the league this season.
