Claudio Reyna of the United States is fouled by Ghana's Michael Essien during the World Cup Group E match in Nuremberg, on Thursday.
The Ghana midfielder's crunching tackle on captain Reyna in the first half got him his second consecutive yellow card of the tournament and he will miss the next match.
Ghana won a place in the last 16 of the World Cup on their finals debut with a 2-1 victory.
