Scoring late goals, as he did in the June 13 match against Togo in Frankfurt, are Ahn's forte, it would seem.
The South Korean midfielder pulled off a similar trick in a match against Italy in World Cup 2002, pushing his team into the quarter-finals and knocking Italy out of the tournament.

In fact, he will always be remembered for scoring that goal. It saw him being thrown out of his Italian club, Perugia, and he had to quit European club football.
