CHELSEA
Manager: Jose Mourinho
Only punters with money to burn would bet against Chelsea completing a hat-trick of Premier League titles. What was already the best squad has been strengthened with Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko and midfielders Michael Ballack of Germany and John Obi Mikel of Nigeria.
Quite how Ballack, Mikel, Frank Lampard and Michael Essien will fit together in central midfield with holding player Claude Makelele remains to be seen but Mourinho is clearly not short of talent.
Shevchenko would line up with Didier Drogba if a mooted switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 becomes a fixture, while Salomon Kalou looks a young forward for the future and Hernan Crespo's move to Inter Milan could give him his chance.
