The Brazilian Grand Prix
Starting on pole position, Alonso got off to a quick start as he sped away from the chasing McLarens. But his advantage was cut short as the safety car was introduced.
The Renault driver soon lost the lead to Juan Pablo Montoya and settled down comfortably in third after the first pitstop behind Kimi Raikkonen.
