The Hungarian Grand Prix

World champion Schumacher started on pole position for the first time this season after lapping the circuit in one minute 19.882 seconds.

It was the 64th pole position of Schumacher's career. He is now one short of equalling the record set by Brazilian Ayrton Senna the day before his death at Imola in 1994.
