Singh on song

Since starting out as a club professional in Borneo, Vijay Singh has been a byword for dedication and once memorably warned a caddie that he opened up and closed the practice range, routinely hitting a minimum 500 balls in a day, often going up to 1,000 balls a day!

Not surprisingly, until he employed his current caddie Dave Renwick of Britain, not many could take that pace.

Singh is often portrayed as someone who rarely smiles. Most remember him as the golfer who said Annika Sorenstam, the women's number one golfer, had no business playing on the PGA Tour. But there is another side to his personality as well.
