Is Manchester United finished?

Exactly a year back, Manchester United were in the midst of a 22-match unbeaten streak that saw them eventually pip arch-rivals Arsenal and become English Premier League champions.

This year, by contrast, they are already out of the UEFA Champions League and their chances of recapturing their crown in the Premiership are all but snuffed out. So poor is their showing that even victories against lower-placed teams have been hard to come by.

Never in manager Sir Alex Ferguson's 17-year reign have Man United hit such a low point. Is this the beginning of the end for the world's richest club?
