The Olympic Medals

A sample of the Olympic medals on display at the factory where they are made in Aspropyrgos, a western suburb of Athens.

The medal is designed by Elena Votsi.

Thirteen kilos of pure gold, about a ton of silver, and about a ton of bronze will be used to cut the 1,130 gold, 1,130 silver, and 1,150 bronze medals.
