Legends of the Tour
Miguel Indurain of Spain
Known as 'Big Mig' due to his large frame, Indurain was the first to win five consecutive Tour de France titles (1991 through 1995).
Indurain’s strategy was simple: Win the time trials and then hold on in the mountains.
Indurain, however, was an accomplished climber too and could apply pressure in the mountains if need be. In addition, he was a force on the flats due to his large frame.
