The Ice Queen
When Maria Sharapova was asked if she was nervous before her Wimbledon final against Serena Williams, she replied, "I'm only 17 how can I be nervous?"
At that age, she should have been jumpy. But she went on to hammer Serena in the final in straight sets and became the second-youngest to win the Ladies singles title.
Sharapova is beautiful, has great ability and exhibits an ice-like cool at all times. But more than anything, it is her willingness to remain firmly rooted to reality that makes her special.
