AC Milan striker Shevchenko receives the second runner-up trophy from Liberian football hero and 1995 FIFA Player of the Year George Weah.
Earlier this month, the Ukrainian was named European Footballer of the Year.
Shevchenko has scored 102 goals in the Italian Serie A over the last six seasons and helped AC Milan win the Champions League in 2003 and the Italian title in 2004.
