The French Open
Justine Henin-Hardenne clinched the French Open crown beating Kim Clijsters 6-0, 6-4 to become the first Belgian Grand Slam champion. It was the first Grand Slam final contested by two Belgians.
"I played for my mum above all, obviously," said Henin-Hardenne. "I want to dedicate the victory to my mum who is watching me from Paradise; I'm sure she's very proud of me."
