Pakistan's 7-hour battle against terror
March 30, 2009
For seven hours on Monday, Manavan on the outskirts Lahore resembled a war zone. The morning peace was shattered when heavily-armed gunmen stormed the police training academy here, killing at least 22 policemen, including 11 officers, and injuring 90 others before taking an unspecified number of security personnel as hostages.
After seven hours of gunbattle, three terrorists were arrested while the rest were shot dead, officials said.
