Third Front vows to provide alternatives

A group of smaller political parties, including the Left, who launched "Third Front", vowed to provide an alternative to the two main national coalitions--the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance--on Sunday.
The Third Front's prospects brightened on Sunday with Orissa's ruling Biju Janata Dal, which recently walked out of the NDA, hinting it could join the new grouping.
