A third front is born with a promise
March 12, 2009
The much talked about Third Front was launched on Thursday at a gala event 50 km away from Bangalore. The crux of the entire event was to form an alternate front in order to topple both the United Progressive Alliance and the National Democratic Alliance.
Apart from the usual Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party bashing, the Third Front leaders also promised several sops, especially for the weaker section if they were voted into power.
The leaders promise an alternative economic policy. Creation of more jobs is also on their agenda. The most important promise made by the Third Front leaders is loan waiver. They assured that loans for farmers would be waived across the board.
