India on Monday displayed its military prowess and diverse cultural heritage at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
The President and the Supreme Commander of Armed forces Pratibha Devisingh Patil took the salute at the glittering parade.
Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev was the chief guest at the parade. Marching contingents of army, navy and air force besides paramilitary forces, Delhi Police and national cadet corps passed the saluting base on the majestic Rajpath.
