Shoot-at-sight orders in Chennai

In the wake of violent protests by lawyers, Tamil Nadu police have issued shoot-at-sight orders against those indulging in violence and destruction of public property.
Lawyers across the state staged protests in almost all district headquarters on Saturday, condemning 'police excesses' during the clash on the Madras High Court premises.
