Congress looks for an alliance in Uttar Pradesh

A possible electoral alliance between the Congress and state heavyweight Samajwadi party brightened on Monday after chinks appeared in the relationship between the two parties last week.
Senior leader of Congress Digvijay Singh said on Monday that talks were on with the Samajwadi Party in the most populous Uttar Pradesh state for a possible tie up.
Digvijay also asserted that the Congress would only go for a dignified alliance.
