BJP national executive meets

September 12, 2008

Bangalore, which houses the first BJP government in South India, woke up to a saffron feel on Friday. The entire city was decked with posters and saffron flags bearing the symbol of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The mood of the party workers in Bangalore, which is playing host to the national executive meeting of the BJP, was upbeat. Volunteers and party workers were seen all along the road doing their bit to ensure that the flow of traffic as the convoys of the delegates passed by was smooth.

The delegates were given a grand welcome. While saffron flags donned the city, various traditional events were also held for the benefit of the delegates.
