Eleven coordinated bomb blasts across the troubled northeastern state of Assam have killed at least 33 people and wounded more than 200. Police said that one of the blasts targeted a high security zone containing court offices and homes of senior police officials.
Many civilians were caught up in the attack as the bomb struck a crowded market. Meanwhile, Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal condemned the attacks.
