The police band played Lata Mangeshkar's legendary song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon Zara Aankh Mein Bhar Lo Paani, leaving many in tears.
Many citizens turned up to pay their respects to Karkare, many of who declared 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Jaan Baaz Hemant Karkare Amar Rahe'.
