'We don't discriminate on the basis of caste or religion'

November 17, 2008
Talking about the admission process, Kute says animatedly that the BMS does not brook political interference in the process. Neither caste nor religion has anything to do with who gets admitted here.

"Admissions begin in March-April for students wanting to study here from Class V to Class XII," says Kute. Depending on the scores of students in a written test, availability of seats and their ability to pay tuition fees they get admissions in BMS, he points out.

"In the written test, a student should score a minimum of 20 marks out of 40," Kute says, adding that students are tested for their mathematical, science, English and general knowledge skills.

The written test is then followed by a physical and medical test.
