At Ahitbele in Raun constituency, it was 100 per cent boycott by voters.
The villagers had demanded that Ahthibele be declared as a gram panchayat. They also demanded that this announcement be made on the polling day. However since that failed to come through the entire village boycotted the polls.
Polling in the third phase started off to a slow start. The voter turnout was poor during the morning and afternoon thanks to the heat. However, it picked up after 3 pm.
Certain parts of North Karnataka recorded a temperature of 45 to 47 degree Centigrade on Thursday.
