Sonia Gandhi addresses election rally in Bengaluru

May 07, 2008

A crowd of over 10,000 people had gathered at the K R Puram grounds at 2.30 pm itself. The programme, which was scheduled for 3.30 pm, started over an hour late as Sonia had been delayed at a rally in Tumkur, which is a two hour drive from Bengaluru.

However with no sign of Sonia, the crowd started to get impatient and the local leaders had to step in and pacify the crowd to remain patient.

The ground was well decorated with adequate seating arrangements. A separate enclosure had been made for the women right in front.
