Eminent personalities honoured by President Patil

President Pratibha Patil conferred the nation's civilian honours to 61 of the 135 eminent personalities whose names were declared earlier this year.
The award ceremony was held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday evening.
Among those who received the awards were 6 recipients of the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour, 18 Padma Bhushan awardees and 37 Padma Shri winners.
