It was a different Rahul altogether. He seemed to enjoy being in amidst students -- more at ease than what he was with the tribals on Tuesday. The serious look on his face was gone.
At one point the students pushed the barricade separating them and Rahul. He did not mind at all and laughed instead.
Kiran, a second semester civil diploma student, could not have asked for more. He was one of the first students in the crowd to shake hands with Rahul. It was dream come true, he said.
Satish, another student in the college told rediff.com: "Rahul asked me which discipline I was studying in. I told him we are civil engineering students. He shook hands with me."
Mahesh, a second year Computer Science student, and his friends said they were stunned by Rahul's simplicity.
"He is great and we feel that he will succeed in politics. There is something in him that other leaders lack," Mahesh added.
