India & Shobhaa De: Going strong at sixty

At a book launch in a Mumbai bookstore on Wednesday evening, the chief guest was a strikingly attractive woman generous with her applause and her smiles for the cameras.
When writer Amita Mukherjee lamented the lack of a true cult writer or columnist in India, it seemed bewildering simply because she was sitting next to this chief guest, a lady who exemplified the very idea: Shobhaa De.
And man, she doesn't look 60.
