US to give $ 3 million aid for flood-hit areas

The United States has extended a grant of 3 million dollar for the flood-affected areas in eastern India. The US Department of Agriculture would send the aid through an international NGO for providing emergency relief and rehabilitation. The amount would be utilized to provide aid to displaced and affected families in Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and northern Uttar Pradesh.
