July 31, 2008
Interestingly like at Sargam Complex, all the 22 bombs found in Surat were found along Vacha Road, which is the hub of the diamond industry in Surat.

Hundreds of diamond units of all sizes are located here and it is the hub of economic activity which generates crores of rupees in revenue for Gujarat state. All companies connected with the diamond trade in India have their offices at Vaccha Road.

"We all are shocked by this incident," says Chandrakant R Sanghavi, managing director, Sanghvi Exports International, a diamond trading company. "The entire terrorist operation was designed to hit our industry. Vaccha Road is crowded from 8 am to 9 pm and busy with business activities."
