Uneasy calm in Pakistan's Khyber region
July 2, 2008
An uneasy calm prevailed in the Pakistani tribal town of Bara on Tuesday. The town is witnessing its fourth day of violence, with a military offensive against extremists threatening Peshawar. Security personnel forcibly closed down shops which had opened despite the curfew, and arrested suspected trouble-makers.
