J&K separatists may resume peace talks

Hurriyat, the leading separatist group of Kashmir, has said that it would consider resuming talks with the Indian government following Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's proposal.

Addressing a public rally in Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said that the UPA government was willing to hold peace talks.

Hurriyat conference chairman Mirwaiz Omer Farooq termed the PM's offer as a ray of hope for them.
